How hard is it to learn the French Language?

I always wanted to learn french. I wanted to buy that rosetta cd. But do you think it will really help? I plan on taking it when I get back in school but everyone is suggesting that I take SPANISH.
French is easy to get started. Learning basic expressions and vocabulary is fast. And you’ll probably remember it. But, it gets tricky when you get to learning all the different verb tenses, and how the spelling and pronunciation changes…. at least that’s what I found more challenging back when I took advanced French in high school. Good luck!

French is one of the easier foreign languages to learn since it a Romance language like English. In fact, French is a much easier language to learn than English! Start with the basics so that you understand a few phrases and practice out loud as much as you can. It’s best to get a course that combines audio and visual so you can take advantage of different learning methods.
